Boiler replacement, repairs and servicing

An old or unreliable boiler is one of the biggest causes of high heating bills and winter breakdowns. We help you decide whether a repair, a new A-rated boiler or a low-carbon alternative is the right choice.

Gas work is carried out only by Gas Safe registered engineers, through our partner installers where needed. Some lower-income households may be eligible for help with a replacement through ECO4 until 31 December 2026; we help you check, but we cannot promise a free boiler.

  • Boiler replacement and new installations
  • Breakdown repairs and annual servicing
  • Heating controls, smart thermostats and radiator valves
  • First-time central heating

Energy upgrades

Insulation and energy-efficiency improvements

Improving the fabric of your home usually gives the best long-term savings. Insulation and draught-proofing keep heat in, and are often the cheapest way to raise an EPC rating.

We look at your EPC recommendations and your budget, then help you check whether ECO4 or the council-run Warm Homes: Local Grant may cover some or all of the cost.

Heat pumps

Air source heat pumps

A heat pump can replace a gas, oil or electric heating system with a lower-carbon alternative. Through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, eligible homeowners and landlords in England and Wales can get up to £7,500 off the cost of an air source or ground source heat pump.

The grant is applied for by an MCS-certified installer. We help you understand whether your home is suitable, including insulation, radiators and space for the outdoor unit.

  • Boiler Upgrade Scheme guidance
  • Installation by MCS-certified installers

EPC assessments

Energy Performance Certificates

You need a valid EPC to sell or let a home. The certificate rates the property from A to G and lists improvements that could raise the rating.

EPCs are produced by accredited Domestic Energy Assessors and lodged on the government register. We explain the recommendations in plain English so you know which ones are worth doing.

  • EPCs for lettings and sales
  • Pre-works and post-works EPCs for upgrades

We help you plan upgrades across one property or a portfolio, schedule works around tenancies, and keep your certificates in order.
